Awesome, Polish cars.
Incidentally, this was the one car ever manufactured in Poland that had FWD.

Wheeler Dealers bought one to restore.
Neat little car.
I'd DD one. If parts weren't impossible to find in the US.

Wheeler Dealers?
Are there any in the U.S.? I think someone imported a Fiat 126p but I've never heard of a Syrenka here.

WD did a horrible job with theirs.
They discarded the original radio while saying it didn't look authentic (WTF) and didn't bother to check that it'd in fact run with a negative earth. The paintjob was utterly dreadful and cheesy as well.

No idea if there are any in the US.
Have you not heard of/seen Wheeler Dealers before?
It's a British show, wherein they buy "modern classics" in need of a little repair, fix them up and try to sell them on for a profit. Hosted by two guys. Mike is the car dealer, Ed is a mechanical genius and fixes what Mike brings him.

I haven't seen it, but I'll take your word for it. Some cars should just be left alone.

They bought it in Poland and shipped to UK. It was kind of special episode. If I remember correctly they even found and bought green Lambo Uracco in our (Poland) country.
Syrena was produced till 1983 nad WD bought later model that means less metal more plastic.I didn't like two tone paint job (pollandball style:) and plastic-chromed details. Ed wanted a modern feel, restomod which I think would be better for the car (I would go with Ivory white paintjob and fabric tartan interior (like in old Golf GTI style).
My parents first car, bought as new.....still love it, It was Italian license though
